My Interview
I interviewed with an expert on civil engineering. The expert told me that I have to wear special safety gears everywhere I go at the building site. The expert told me the materials and tools that civil engineers need (concrete, steel, wheelbarrow, sand scoop and shovel). He told me that the building will be 18 floors with the basement.
When I interviewed the expert he let me to mix the concrete from a machine called mixer. He told me that the concrete will be tested in the laboratory, when the concrete is in the laboratory it will be tested how strong it can hold, so the building will not collapse when there is an earthquake. He told me that they are still working on the 8th floor.
He told me that there is a special machine to get the concrete to the top of the building, the special machine is called a concrete pump. It sounds like someone is shooting. The funny part is when the concrete pump shoots the concrete to the top of the building, it doesn't shoot bullets but it shoots concrete. When there is no concrete left in the mixer, the other mixers will supply concrete and the empty one will go back to the concrete factory, called batching plants.
